BAGSTER
Fitting Instructions / Installation Advice

Bagster tank protectors are tailored individual tanks, but generally there is a strap which fits around the steering column. Securing straps with hooks or other attachments attach the tank cover either side of the tank. Some tank covers make use of the bike's fasteners to secure the cover. On most tank covers, there is a strap or laces to secure the seat end. These are concealed by the seat which will need to be removed for installation.
It is not necessary to remove the tank in order to fit the cover.

Tank Protectors
Remove the seat and clean the tank. Make sure that all dirt and dust is removed from the tank prior to fitting the tank cover. Start by passing the strap around the steering column while avoiding pinching the cables. Stretch the protector's front toward the steering head and the back under the saddle, while adjusting to clear the fuel tank cap. Adjust each side progresively, so that the tank protector exactly matches the shape of the fuel tank. If needed, work the material from the top towards the bottom. Check the tention in the straps regularly.

The tank protector may take up to 14 days toadjust to the shape of the tank, depending on how extreme the actual shape of the tank is and ambient temperature.
In warmer weather, the PVC is softer and will settle quicker. During cold weather, it is advisable to warm the tank cover in an heated room prior to fitting.
Take care not to place the tank protector too close to the heat source.

Tank Bags
Start by attaching the front hooks (D-rings), then slip the metal buckle into the mating connecors located on the rear of the tank protector (toward the seat).
For the first few miles (for tankbags with an adjustible length system), adjust the forward strap tention and lock the position by passing the strap through the plastic buckle.
Keep the motorcycle ballanced by putting heavy objects in the bottom of the tankbag. Your chosen tank bag should not obscure the dials and gauges.

Saddle Bags
The Nylon-PVC saddlebags should be kept at least 3 1/4 inch (8 cm) away from the exhaust pipe.
Standard Nylon-PVC saddlebags can be mounted on or under the seat.
You are advised to add metal supports.
Carefully check where the bags are attached.
For saddlebags equipped with a zip fastening on the bracket, check that the closing flap is closed properly and tie the laces.

Seat Covers
For installation use a pneumatic or electric stapler. Make sure you use the correct length of staples. You can work alone or with another person. Leave the original cover on your seat.
• First, center the front and rear of the seat cover and then center the two sides. Follow the elastic edges.
• Stretch the cover so that the elastic part passes right under the seat. Work the PVC to move the elastic part under. Do not leave the elastic part of the seat cover on the edge.
• Staple the front center and the rear center near the elastic. Do not staple on the PVC.
* Check that the cover is stretched well and the elastic part is correctly placed under the seat.
• Staple the two sides in the middle. Finish by stapling all the way around the seat.
